Alec Bennett was born in Glasgow on 20th October 1881 and joined Celtic in May 1903. He became one of those rare individuals who crossed the city in May 1908 to join arch-rivals Rangers. With Celtic he won four League Championship and two Scottish Cup winner's medals and with Rangers he won three League Championship medals and appeared for them in the 1908-9 Scottish Cup final.
