In the record winning year Rangers won the Championship with 60 points, Motherwell being runners-up on 55 points, In the Scottish Cup Final replayed played 16th April at Hampden, Rangers defeated Partick Thistle 2-1, the first match finishing 0-0, in the Glasgow Cup Rangers defeated Celtic 4-0 and Celtic again in the Charity Cup
