Our Cricket Department has been privileged to handle some of the most important lots ever offered at auction

The John Wisden’s Cricketers’ Almanack Archive 

A complete run from the very first edition in 1864 through to the 145th edition of 2008. This extraordinary archive achieved £107,000, reflecting its unique place in cricket history.

W.G. Grace’s 1,000th Test Run Bat

Used at Lord’s in June 1896 during the England v Australia Test match. The Cobbett bat is inscribed with match details and signed by leading England players, Australian great Fred Spofforth, and future Prime Minister Lloyd George. It sold for £19,000.

2011 ICC World Cup – India Memorabilia

Yuvraj Singh’s signed cap and batting gloves from India’s victorious campaign achieved £8,000, while Gautam Gambhir’s signed batting gloves, worn during his top-scoring 97 in the Final, realised £5,800.
