A St Paddy racing plate, chromium plated and mounted on a velvet backboard with a photographic portrait of the racehorse and a name plaque, in an ebonised frame, 23 by 20cm., 9 by 8in. The 1960 Derby & St Leger winner St Paddy was a bay colt foaled in 1957 by Aureole out of Edie Kelly. He won seven other career races including the Royal Lodge Stakes, Dante Stakes, Great Voltigeur Stakes, Hardwicke Stakes, Eclipse Stakes & Jockey Club Stakes. St Paddy was owned by Sir Victor Sassoon, trained by Noel Murless and ridden by Lester Piggott.
