Derek Dougan's dark blue Northern Ireland international cap season 1960-61, inscribed IRISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION LIMITED, E, W, 1960-61 This cap was awarded for appearances in the Home International Championship of season 1960-61. Derek Dougan played in the England and Wales matches both played in Belfast. The games ended in two thumping defeats, 5-2 and 5-1 respectively. However, Dougan did have the compensation of scoring the Northern Ireland goal in the Wales match, his first at international level. Derek Dougan was a Blackburn Rovers player at the time this cap was awarded.
