Two caps awarded to the Chelsea and Scotland international Jock Cameron, a blue Scotland v England international cap 1909, the interior & peak in poor condition; the other cap with an unidentified monogram, and bearing the dates 1903-4, 1904-5, 1905-6, 1906-7 & 1907-8 during which time Cameron was a Blackburn Rovers player John ''Jock'' Cameron was born at Kirkwood, Coatbridge. The full-back began his career at St Mirren before moving to South to Blackburn Rovers and then Chelsea. Cameron was capped twice for Scotland once as a Blackburn player and then the second time as a Chelsea player, the cap being offered as part of the lot here, which was awarded for the England match played at the Crystal Palace 3rd April 1909. A medal awarded to the Scotland captain James Stark for this match is being offered elsewhere as lot 584. Provenance: Christie's Glasgow, 15th October 1997, lot 214.
