9ct. gold & enamel 1904 Glasgow Charity Cup winner's medal awarded to Alex Smith of Rangers FC, inscribed with details Alexander Smith (1876-1954) was born in Darvel and signed for Glasgow Rangers in April 1894 and played at Ibrox for 21 years where was a member of the four consecutive League Championships team, 1899 to 1902. The winger was also capped for Scotland on 20 occasions. Provenance: Christie's Glasgow, 10th December 1998, lot 77.
