Murray (2) Bishop Auckland won the Northern F.L. title with a total of 43 points, six clear of Billingham Synthonia. In the Cup final they beat Shildon 3-1 to achieve the 'double.' Ken Murray later played in the Football League, firstly for Darlington and then four other clubs making the most appearances for Mansfield Town.
