In the Euro qualifying match against Turkey played on 12th October 1983 in Ankara, Turkey defeated Northern Ireland 1-0, in the Euro qualifying match against West Germany played on 16th November 1983 in Hamburg, Northern Ireland defeated West Germany 1-0, in the match against Scotland played 13th December at Windsor Park, Northern Ireland defeated Scotland 2-0, in the match against Wales played on 22nd May 1984 in Swansea, the teams drew the match 1-1 and in the World Cup qualifying match against Finland played on 27th May in Pori, Finland defeated Northern Ireland 1-0
