Silver cigarette case presented by the 1908 Grand National winning jockey Henry Bletsoe,
hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd, Birmingham, 1906, the cover inscribed RUBIO, WINNER, GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE, 1908, S.A. PHIPPS FROM H.B. BLETSOE, gilt interior, 8 by 10cm., the case contains a press cutting about the Bletsoe brothers

Lots 10 to 34 Memorabilia relating to the Royal Jockey John Watts (1861-1902) and the jockey Kempton Cannon (1879-1951). The connection between the two jockeys being that Watts's widow married Cannon. Provenance: by family descent.
