twin-handled trophy cup hallmarked by Henry Holland, London, 1870, inscribed ANGLESEY HUNT CUP, WON BY, MISS HAMPTON'S SAXON, NOV.r 9th 1870, framed in a mirrored curling pattern with peaks and an embedded ball effect, Wyvern Erect beasts as close grip handles, surmounted by a model of a standing thoroughbred, 41cm. high, 1,755gr.
The mythological beast the Wyvern Erect is seen in the Great Seal of the Welsh leader Owain Glyndwr.
