in the form of a silver loving cup, hallmarked Mappin & Webb, London, 1895, inscribed THE LAGOS CUP, 1895, WINNER, HON. G.W. NEVILLE'S “KOKO”, height 19cm., weight 871gr.

The Hon. George William Neville (1852-1929) was the local agent in Lagos, Nigeria, for the shipping company Elder Dempster & Co. of Liverpool; and was the first manager of the Bank of British West Africa. He was a friend and trading partner of Governor Nanna Olomu.
