This was Leeds United first-ever and to date only European Cup final, in the match played on 28th May 1975 at the Parc des Princes, Bayern Munich defeated Leeds United 2-0, Leeds United were only the second English club at that time to reach the final after Manchester United and after Barcelona only the 2nd team to reach all three European cup competition finals, the 1975 final was the climax of the Glory Years of the team built by former manager Don Revie.
