Ian Botham - silver medal, the obverse inscribed The Prudential Trophy, England v Australia
Ian Botham - silver medal, the obverse inscribed The Prudential Trophy, England v Australia 1977, the medal formed as a cricket ball was presented to Botham for the one day international series, in original fitted case
It is assumed that Botham was a member of the England squad, but was not selected to play in any of the three one day internationals. England won the series 2-1 with victory in the first two matches by two wickets and 101 runs respectively, Australia winning the final match by two wickets. Botham made his Test debut in the third Test at Trent Bridge later that summer.
